Hello! I'm a UCT student that's currently majoring in Drama, Politics and Sociology (weird combo, I know!). I enjoy reading, dancing, hanging out with friends, riding bikes and roller-skating and going out to really instagram-worthy places. I enjoy watching cartoons and court shows in my spare time. I'm the oldest of two children so I already do a lot of tutoring for free already (haha). My biggest dream is graduating, traveling the world and moving to New York to work for the United Nations to make the world the picture-perfect place I imagine it could be!

Experience
Ubuntu Tutor
Ubuntu (UCT) offers extra lessons in problem subjects to under-privileged students in underprivileged areas around Cape Town. My duty is to prepare for upcoming lessons by printing material out, researching, preparing material and teaching it to the grade/class I am assigned to. I assist where there are problems of not understanding subject content, bridging the language gap, supplying study supplies such as books and pens.
Sales assistant
As a sales assistant, I was in charge of ensuring that the floor looked neat - the clothes were folded, the clothing racks are straight, the clothes are hung properly and so forth. The upkeep of the floor fell under my jurisdiction. I was responsible for offering assistance to customers such as finding their right sizes, different designs, suggesting a different colour, and engaging the customers in a manner that made them feel special. I also cleaned the store - wiping down the mirrors, packing the store-room, sweeping and mopping.

I am currently pursuing an undergraduate Bachelor of Social Sciences with the University of Cape Town. There have been a few financial and health glitches along the way hence the wide time frame. I am, now though, back at school and finishing up my final year of studies!

Pursuing a degree in Government and Politics has helped me understand the intricacies that come with this field. Nothing is ever black and white. From basic structures of government to how countries are shaped under different politics to why certain things work the way they do and underlying factors attached to shaping the societies we exist in are things I'm well versed in. More so because my interest in these topics are beyond academic and are an extension of my entire life. I read avidly on these topics, not out of academic obligation but out of sheer and true curiosity and interest outside of school. My knowledge in then not only academic but personal too.

Vocabulary
If I could add having an extensive vocabulary to my CV, I would. Luckily, I've found just the place to show that off! Being an avid reader of books, newspapers, academic papers, articles and so forth has rewarded me with the large vocabulary I now claim ownership of. Vocabulary helps you say a lot more in many different ways and it is important to not be limited in the way you express yourself. I am the perfect candidate to assist in expanding your vocabulary and assisting you in saying what you want in the manner that best suits the occasion or space!

I've a great love for reading and so its only natural to be just as fond of the art of writing. Being able to write is to open up a whole new world of possibilities such as language and communication and nothing is greater than connecting through words! Grammar
With a great grasp of the English language comes the burden of grammar! This is an important part of English as without it, communication can be absolutely disastrous. Imagine saying one thing and it being interpreted as another because we forgot a little grammar? That's where I come in! I can assist with basic grammar in the English language as it's a language I've been studying and practising for years.
